The Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation has submitted for public consultation a draft law introducing post-paid parking. This was announced in a statement by the ministry.
According to the initiative, when using paid parking facilities that are not equipped with special access control systems at the entrance and exit, vehicle owners will be able to pay for the service within 24 hours. The document also formalises the concept of "parking activity", establishing a unified parking management system.
A single federal register will be created in Russia to account for parking space and monitor its condition. The powers of regional authorities in this area will also be expanded.
Let’s discuss this in a professional setting – we invite you to the International Exhibition "Auto+Automechanika Moscow" from 19 to 21 August at VDNH, where we will bring together industry experts, business representatives and government officials to talk about new initiatives, their adoption, and their real-world necessity.
