Yandex’s Driverless Truck Completes Its First Solo 700 km Journey

The «Robotruck» covered the route from Moscow to St. Petersburg — and did it without a driver at the wheel!
The truck travelled along the M‑11 “Neva” highway, controlled by an AI‑based system. It was able to navigate around roadworks, pass through toll plazas, and overtake slower vehicles. The only stop was for a break by the test driver.
Yandex has been developing autonomous driving technologies since 2016. In summer 2024, the company announced plans to launch a dedicated brand of self‑driving vehicles. Since January 2026, it has already been testing driverless taxis in Moscow.
It seems that autonomous transport is gradually becoming a reality, and by the end of the year it could become part of the industry market.
Let's discuss this at the exhibition!
We invite everyone to Auto+Automechanika Moscow from 19 to 21 August at VDNKh — experts will talk about the future of driverless transport, innovations, and cutting‑edge technologies!
