From April 1 to 3, 2026, the management of Avtomechanika Expo visited the International Transport and Logistics Forum at the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre in St. Petersburg. The event was also attended by representatives of federal executive and legislative authorities, international organizations, Russian and foreign transport companies, as well as expert and media communities.
The forum’s business agenda addressed the following areas:
- Development of international transport corridor infrastructure
- Global transport industry operations
- Implementation of advanced technologies
- Regulatory and legal framework in transport
- Freight and passenger logistics
- Innovative solutions
- Digital services
- Tourism
In addition to an extensive business program, an exhibition of modern equipment and innovative technologies was organized in the Passage and Pavilion F of the forum. Participants included leading Russian companies showcasing key areas of the transport and logistics industry. They presented integrated solutions, technologies, and innovations in railway, maritime, and river transport, aviation, unmanned autonomous systems, as well as digitalization and road construction.
Attendees were shown a mock-up of Russia’s first high-speed train for the Moscow–St. Petersburg high-speed railway. Construction of this high-speed line – the largest transport project in recent years – began last year. A total of 20,000 specialists are working on the test section from Zelenograd to Tver (129 km), where the latest rolling stock will undergo trials.
In total, representatives from 80 countries took part in the forum. Key partners include the Republic of Belarus, China, India, as well as countries in Africa, Asia, and the Arab world.
"The level of international interest in our forum is very significant. It speaks to Russia’s role and the importance of the transport agenda within the broader global context," said Russian Minister of Transport Andrey Nikitin.
The forum also marked the debut of Russia’s first serial-produced all-wheel-drive dump truck, the BAZ. The model has been specifically developed for operations in hard-to-reach areas, including the Far East. It is assembled at a plant near St. Petersburg.
The International Transport and Logistics Forum is held in accordance with the directives of the President of the Russian Federation to ensure the global competitiveness of Russia’s transport corridors, including the implementation of decrees aligned with national development goals through 2030 and with a vision toward 2036.
The forum is organized by the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation. The event operator is the Roscongress Foundation. The forum helps promote Russia’s transport and logistics potential across Greater Eurasia and showcase cutting-edge industry achievements. A key objective is to develop a new framework for international cooperation and sustainable transport system development.
Industry-specific exhibitions also remain important tools for sector development, such as Auto+Automechanika Moscow, where manufacturers can present their achievements and find new partners. The event will be held from May 12 to 14 at the Timiryazev Exhibition Centre with the support of the Roscongress Foundation, reinforcing its role as a key industry platform that helps strengthen the country’s technological sovereignty. The International Exhibition Auto+Automechanika Moscow will be the main event of 2026 for the entire automotive professional community and a new milestone in the development of Russia’s automotive industry.
