The premiere of the updated Lada Niva Bronto took place in Tolyatti

AvtoVAZ has unveiled an updated version of the Lada Niva Bronto off-roader with a new design. Three vehicles in fresh body colors took part in a rally through Tolyatti, dedicated to the 49th anniversary of the legendary Russian off-roader’s production start.
In photos published by the company’s press service, the vehicles feature a new plastic body kit and a redesigned radiator grille. The grille has become larger and features a complex honeycomb design. Instead of the "Lada" badge, a molded "Bronto" inscription now adorns the front. The bumpers have also been revised, and the mounting points on the wheel arch extensions have been moved to the outside.
Technically, the Bronto version differs from the standard Niva Legend by the presence of self-locking screw-type differentials in the axles, a reinforced rear axle, upgraded shock absorbers with increased travel, and ground clearance of up to 240 mm. The engine remains unchanged — a 1.7-liter 83-hp unit paired with a five-speed manual transmission and permanent all-wheel drive.
We will be discussing all the main new releases from the Russian automotive industry at the Auto+Automechanika Moscow exhibition, held from May 12 to 14, 2026 at the Timiryazev Centre.
