A New Full-Cycle Automotive Plant to Be Built in Novosibirsk Region

The authorities of the Novosibirsk Region are negotiating with Chinese investors on the construction of a full-cycle automotive plant, with a focus on all types of vehicles, including electric cars.

Plans for the construction of the plant were announced by the press service of the Novosibirsk Region Development Corporation. Talks are being held with representatives of companies including Shandong Weijiu Energy, Far East Resources, Henan Shaolin Automobile, Dandong Huanghai Automobile, and Limi Commercial Vehicles (Hebei).

Following a visit by a delegation from China, Liu Lianghua, the representative of the Chinese side, noted that investors are interested in establishing not just a factory, but a technology park that would attract various manufacturers to organize a full production cycle. Potential sites under consideration include the Novosibirsk Region Industrial and Logistics Park and the Special Economic Zone "Novosibirsk".

"Such large-scale sites are well-suited to this kind of project," said Liu Lianghua.
