Alexander Beglov Told Vladimir Putin About the Revival of Car Production in St. Petersburg

All four industrial sites where production had previously been halted due to the departure of foreign companies have resumed operations, the governor noted
Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov reported to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the resumption of operations at all four industrial sites for car production that had previously been halted due to the departure of foreign companies.
"Additional jobs are being created by the revival of the automotive cluster. All four sites that had suspended production due to the departure of foreign companies are operating again. Among them are the plants in Sestroretsk and Shushary with a combined capacity of 300,000 cars per year. The 'St. Petersburg Automobile Plant' is assembling the new Lada Iskra model. Another site in Shushary is now being used to produce Senat luxury-class cars," the city administration's press service said.
According to Alexander Beglov, industrial production growth is the foundation of St. Petersburg's stability and the stability of its macroeconomic indicators. Nearly 470,000 Petersburg residents are currently employed in the industrial sector — 26,000 more than a year earlier.
