The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation proposes the introduction of mandatory labeling for auto parts. The corresponding draft resolution has been developed by the ministry and published on the portal of regulatory legal acts. It is planned to introduce mandatory labeling for auto parts (certain types of vehicle components, internal combustion engine devices, and self-propelled machinery) using identification means starting September 1, 2026.
It is noted that the turnover of auto parts in Russia is characterized by a high share of the illegal market. This leads to an increase in the sale of low-quality products and a rise in the number of industry violations related to the import of counterfeit spare parts for passenger cars.
