Russia Enters Top 5 Among G20 Nations for Taxi Affordability
Russia has become the fifth among the "Group of Twenty" nations with the lowest taxi prices — approximately 48 rubles per kilometer, according to RIA Novosti, which analyzed publicly available data.
The most affordable taxi fares among G20 countries can be found in India — 20.2 rubles per kilometer. They are followed by Indonesia (27 rubles), China (27.7 rubles), South Korea (42.7 rubles), and rounding out the top five is Russia (47.9 rubles).
In Turkey, a kilometer costs 61.5 rubles, in Brazil — 67.5 rubles, and in South Africa — 68.2 rubles. In Argentina, the price is higher — 75 rubles.
Meanwhile, in the remaining ten member countries, taxi fares per kilometer already exceed 100 rubles: in Canada — 114.7 rubles, Italy — 131.9 rubles, Australia — 133.4 rubles, the United States — 139.4 rubles, and France — 167.1 rubles.
The top five G20 nations with the most expensive taxi fares are Japan (236.1 rubles), Germany (219.6 rubles), Saudi Arabia (200.1 rubles), Mexico (194.1 rubles), and the United Kingdom (176.1 rubles).
