The Russian car market grew 29% in June and showed a nearly 15% increase over the first half of the year, reported Sergey Tselikov, head of the Autostat agency.
In June, sales of new passenger cars in Russia reached 116,276 units — a 29% increase compared to June 2025. The main reason is the low base of the previous year, comments Sergey Tselikov.
The leading position remains with the Lada brand (28,081 units, more than 24% of the market).
Haval holds first place among foreign brands, with cars sold in 16,148 units in June. In third place is the Russian brand Tenet (12,636 units), followed by Geely and Changan (7,557 and 5,558 units, respectively).
Sixth place goes to the Belarusian brand Belgee with 5,090 cars. Next are Toyota (3,915 units), Jetour (3,493 units), Mazda (2,401 units), and Jaecoo (2,229 units).
The dynamics within the segment were mixed. While Mazda's sales grew 6.2 times in June, Changan saw a decrease (13%), and Lada experienced a slight drop (2.2%).
In the first half of 2026, 608,618 new passenger cars were sold in the country — 14.8% more than in the same period last year. Mazda showed the strongest growth (8.6 times).
